Theatre About Science conference in Coimbra

The conference mapped and reflected upon intersections of theatre and science, promoted exchange and enlarged knowledge on the field, traced the evolution of previous trends and identified new types of crossovers. More than 150 participants from Europe, South and North America, took part in this important event that defines and broadens the interdisciplinary field of theatre and science.

Theatre About Science takes place every two years and is organized by Marionet Teatro. The venue of the conference is the magnificent University of Coimbra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest university in Portugal, founded in 1290. The programme includes a wide variety of lectures, talks, presentations, performances, workshops, and theatre shows.
